2018 Annual Conference

The National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI) Annual Conference is an opportunity for NNCI site directors, staff, external advisory board, NSF program officers, and invited guests to share updates and exchange ideas. The 2018 conference will be hosted by the Institute for Nano-engineered Systems (NanoES) at the University of Washington from Wednesday, September 12 to Friday, September 14. Check-in will take place on Wednesday afternoon.

Location

The event will take place at the Nanoengineering and Sciences Building on the University of Washington campus, and in the surrounding Seattle area.

Getting to UW

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SeaTac) is located approximately 20 miles south of the University of Washington and 15 miles south of Downtown Seattle. It is approximately 30 minutes by bus, shuttle, taxi, car or Link light-rail. Visitors have several options for ground transportation from the airport to the University of Washington which is located in the University District (U-District) neighborhood.

Accommodations

The conference hotel is the Silver Cloud Hotel – University District. The Silver Cloud is conveniently located next to the University Village, an upscale open-air shopping center with a unique mix of locally-owned boutiques, signature fashion and home-furnishing retailers and a distinct collection of restaurants and eateries.

The block hotel rate is no longer available, but there are still rooms available at the government rate. Please make reservations as soon as possible, as it is the high travel season in Seattle.

Transportation to Campus

A shuttle service will be provided from the Silver Cloud to the NanoES Building in the morning, and back to the hotel from NanoES in the evening. Shuttle services at other times can be arranged by calling the Silver Cloud at (206) 526-5200.

Posters

NNCI site representatives are not expected to bring posters to this conference. However, sponsors and exhibitors that wish to display a poster may utilize this template. Temporary backing and stands will be provided.
